It’s New Year’s Eve! Traditionally one looks back on the past year and looks forward to the year ahead. My 2013 certainly has been full of change and new experiences! I am in my penultimate year of medical school and I have continued to do my specialty placements. I visited Vancouver and saw Canada’s West Coast for the first time this past summer. I presented a poster at my very first conference in Berlin. Finally, in about a week’s time my parents will be moving from the family home that I have lived in all my life.

My 2013 has been a good year for baking as well. I got back into my blogging and baked often, regularly sharing my recipes and photos with family and friends. An interview about my blog was published on Gourmandize and I self-published a cookbook with my favourite recipes for my family.
